Breast augmentation, or augmentation mammaplasty, is a popular and routine outpatient procedure that generally takes no more than a couple of hours to complete. Afterwards, patients are allowed to return home without staying overnight. Breast augmentation surgery is the most common plastic surgery procedure in the United States.
Women decide to partake in breast augmentation surgery for many reasons. The main goal of the procedure is to aesthetically augment the size, form, and/or feel of the breasts employing various technique options.
The incision technique (read more) and implant type can either expedite or prolong the procedure. As previously mentioned, you can expect to be done within an hour or two and be home to rest soon afterwards.
